Yikes, I’m 47 years old today. Shocker to most people. When I tell people how old am I, they assume I’m much younger. I haven’t been married 10 years yet and our son is 8-year-old 3rd grader. What can I say? I married and had my son late in my 30′s. I waited or I should say, my husband waited for me to finally figure it out.
Anywoos…lately or I should say about a month ago on Facebook, the 14 Things You don’t Know about me made the rounds. Well, I put mine out there but I realized that I had few more thing to share about myself. So here is the original list and a couple of others.
1. Growing up I wanted to dance on Broadway. Fame, West Side Story and the movie The Chorus Line were my inspirations. Sadly when I tried out for the Kilgore Rangerettes (Texas), I was too short.
2. I’ve met Ozzy Osbourne, Zak Wylde, Ace Frehley, Pantera, and Drowning Pool. That was back in my rocker days. Sadly, I miss the music but not the scene. I buried two people and it was awful.
3. The hockey players that I have met are too long to list. I worked for the Dallas Stars Hockey Club from 1999-2004. I do have a cousin that married to Keith Tkachuk. He’s a great guy to talk to. When we met after a hockey game, it was like NO SHIT! We sat and talked for hours. Do I miss it? Not really but I do miss going to games. Its hard when you live in the sticks.
4. Refer to #2 & #3 and that’s why I don’t read these kind of romances for review. I had good and bad memories and they sometimes cause triggers.
5. I married when I was 37 and had my one child at 38. My husband is 7 years younger than me. LOL!
6. People are always surprised when I tell them I hate the Dallas Cowboys. I worked for Bum Bright when he sold them to Jerry Jones. Jones is ***** and he fired Tom Landry. Yep, hated them ever since. Yes, I’m that old. :)
7. When I meet Peyton Manning and Archie Manning at a lunch in Dallas, I damn near fainted. In fact, Archie asked me if I was okay. LOL!
8. I have ZERO confidence in myself. I’m my worst motivator. Comes from years of emotional put downs from people in my family. Long story..
9. I can cook but can’t bake. Unless it’s from a box. Sad but true!
10. I lived most of my married life in small towns.
11. I was diagnosed a Type 2 diabetic almost 3 years ago. My sugars have never been over 150 and I’ve lost 60 pounds.
12. My writing dream is to be published by Harlequin. I know, right?
13. My guilty pleasure is Zebra Cakes from Little Debbie. My vice is cigarettes. And yes, I need to quit. Sadly, I don’t drink anymore.
14. We named our son after a hockey player and football player. Brian Leetch, New York Rangers and Earl Campbell, Houston Oilers.
15. I love classical music. Yes, I’m a headbanger but I have played the piano since I was about 3 yrs old and violin since I was 8. I have also sang in choirs since I was young. I sing First Alto. My inspiration for the piano was Elton John and Billy Joel. Charlie Daniels was my inspiration for the violin. I still tear up when I hear the Alleluia Chorus by Handel. I sand it so much that I can just break out singing. In fact, my dad and I did over Thanksgiving. My son was impressed.
16. I worked in the corporate world for over 25 years. Sadly, no one wants someone with my experience anymore. :( I’m an old IBM’er, JC Penney corporate (women’s division) and banking.
17. I love Marvel and DC Comics. My favorites are Superman, Batman, Captain America and Thor. And yes, I can’t wait for the movie Superman vs. Batman. My favorite Batman: tie between Michael Keaton and Christian Bale. Superman: Christopher Reeve. Don’t get me wrong Henry was AWESOME but no one played Superman better than Chris. He defined the super hero role for everyone else.
18. I have two nicknames from my husband: Cliff (from Cheers) and Monica (from Friends). He He!
19. I hate being cold. My idea temp would be around 85 with a breeze. I live in Texas so I might have one day like that. LOL!
20. Are you bored yet?
Thanks for hanging out with me today.

Why the capture fantasy in your writing?
Because I enjoy both reading and writing it. Because ordinary romance doesn’t do it for me even when there’s BDSM in there too. A romance with BDSM is still a romance.
I love the excitement you get with capture fantasies. The uncertainty. It doesn’t have to end in romance, though it can. I love that I can get down and dirtier. That I can write men who really are bad boys lol And not just men with a bad temper, or some criminal tendencies, or whatever. Juggling a story where the men abduct the women and putting it into a modern setting and then having to get readers to like the men, wow, hard to do. If I get the story really right so that the reader wants all the immoral stuff to happen to the woman, that’s satisfying for me. Doing that twisty mind trick is the best. It means I’ve written the story well.
And of course I love the core principles of these capture fantasies – the male dominance, the man being so determined to have that special woman as his own that he will abduct her to have her.
But it’s all fiction, it’s all about writing out fantasies, and it’s a type of fantasy I’ve often read in the past. I’m sure I will get some readers going what the hell am I reading? Because there will always be those who pick up a book without really understanding what sort of book it is. But I’ve found there’s a big crossover of readers from kinky consensual BDSM stories to capture fantasy. I’m even corrupting some of my fans who have never read these before
No book appeals to everyone and I’m sure some people who read books featuring serial killers doubt their reasons for liking to read them. Us humans have some pretty weird tastes in stories. If you do love reading capture fantasies, know that there’s a quite a big audience for these. A lot of women enjoy reading them.
Also, when writing the series have you felt like you’ve gone too far?
With this book. Lol
As you may know if you’ve followed my facebook posts.
I had to be reassured at regular intervals by Sorcha Black, my crit partner, that the story wasn’t getting too extreme. Something about the combination in Make me Yours Evermore hit some of my limits as a writer. I can read worse than I can write. After the beta readers gave me their feedback, I discovered I’d been writing around the scenes in the story that squicked me out. I’d handed control of scenes to Andreas when it should have been Chris who was the dominant. I’d even totally glossed over one scene. I summarized it as a flashback memory.
(Small and dirty spoiler: This was the upside down face fucking scene. )
Chris was probably the main cause. He was too far into the dark for me. By the end of the book though, I’m happier with him. He grows as a character. He changes. I think I like men in these stories to have more remorse than he does. He dives into abducting Kat with barely a backward glance. It’s what he wants to do, the opportunity is there, so he does it.
I have to admit that I wanted to write this story darker than my previous ones. I try to change the way these stories unfold with each new book. I try to go darker in some way. Some say I achieved that, some think it’s as dark as Bind and Keep me. Everyone sees a book a little differently.
A year ago today my debut was published it was a hard fought journey for me and one accomplishment that I never thought I would achieve. :) I’m out of town for the holiday but I thought I would leave with a snippet of the book.

Excerpt (PG-13 for language)
“What’s a girl like you doing at a bar like this?” he asked.
Her voice was a purr, like a cat well satisfied with its stolen pitcher of cream. “I’m looking for someone special.”
Hoping that she meant him he asked, “Did you find him yet?”
“Maybe.” The glint in her eye told him he was definitely in the running. However, I’m not looking to hook up with just any old cowboy. He must be able to go the full eight seconds and come back for more.” She eyed him from head to toe. “Think you can handle that?”
Oh, I can most definitely handle you sweetheart.
Not wanting to seem too eager he replied, “I’m not sure but I’m willing to try.”
“Do or do not. There is no try.” He struggled not to let his grin escape. The fact that she was trying to seduce him made his dick twitch.
“Let’s just say I’m looking to burn off some pent up frustration. A little excess energy. And I’ve got plenty to burn.”
The way she shivered at his words, he knew he almost had her. He winked as she licked her crimson lips and blew out a small breath. Damn what this woman is doing to him.
He pushed her knees apart with his left leg and was rewarded with the amazing scent of her arousal. The knowledge she was wet for him had him close to going off in his jeans.
Houston, we have lift-off!
“Why don’t you have a seat cowboy and we’ll talk about it.”
She gasped when he shocked her with a brush of his lips against hers; fighting with everything he had not to deepen the kiss.
He would play her game for the moment but sooner or later, she would be his. Tied up and begging for more.
He asked her, “Now about that eight second ride?”

Trust Me? Blurb:
This book is for mature audiences 18+ It contains explicit language and sexual content.
Jenifer Taylor is content with her life, dull and boring as it is. Being absent from the dating scene means she doesn’t have to deal with the major trust issues she has with men that stem from a controlling and aggressive ex-boyfriend and an absentee father. She’s happy being alone, sharing her life with her friends and family.
When Jeni starts a typical day in the big city of Mornington Vale, California, it turns from bad to worse when she’s involved in a chain collision on her way to work.
Her world changes forever that day because she meets Aiden O’Connell, the billionaire son of Alistair O’Connell, who owns Mornington Vale’s largest financial corporation. Aiden is an up-and-coming young businessman who’s ready to take on the vice presidency of his father’s company. He is the good son, and it’s imperative to Alistair that Aiden succeed and follow in his footsteps. Life for Aiden involves working hard and not much else.
After the accident, however, Aiden’s world changes as well. He finds Jeni irresistible and instantly pursues her. With some coaxing, she eventually agrees to a date, and the attraction is mutual.
Jeni finds love quickly with Aiden, but trusting him is another issue. When to trust is tested in many different ways but comes to a head when Aiden is investigated for a serious crime. As her trust issues spark, she is forced to go through a journey of self-discovery.
She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves when she’s asked the ultimate question: “Do you trust me?”
I turn to face him; he puts his other arm around me. We are in the same position as before when the last kiss attempt failed. My arms are tight around his neck, his arms around my waist. I look down. He lifts up my chin so I’m lost in his gaze. His hand goes back to my waist. He swallows; I think he’s as nervous as I am. He tilts his head and leans in … I back away quickly.
“What’s wrong?” he asks, looking hurt.
“Oh, no, it’s not you. I think … I might have garlic breath.”
He laughs and pulls me back to him. “So do I.” He pulls me in tighter, and before I know what’s happening, his lips are on mine. I give in and surrender to him completely.
This feels like one of my fantasies, only way, way better. He holds me tight as one hand moves from my waist to caress my cheek, kissing me softly but sensually. My hands move to the back of his head, and I grab a lock of hair in each hand. He moves our bodies so that I’m against the railing at the edge of the deck. He moves his hand from my waist to hold the rail as I still grasp his hair. The kissing becomes feverishly passionate; his tongue against mine as they intertwine with each other. Our breathing becomes faster and erratic. Our kissing becomes more intimate. We are in perfect sync with each other. I pull him closer to me, our whole bodies touching. My heart is pounding fast and hard. His hand moves from my face to the back of my head, pulling me tight. He moves my hair from the side of my neck, breaks our kiss and kisses my neck slowly and seductively. I sigh and breathe in a stuttering motion. I open my eyes to see the waitress standing there, gawking at us. I stiffen as I see her. He pulls back and looks at me. With my eyes, I gesture toward the waitress. He turns, looks, and lets out a little huff. He leans in towards me.
“Now that’s a first kiss,” he whispers as he grabs my hand and leads me over to the table. I can’t help but smile
Love Me? Blurb:
This book is for mature audiences 18+ It contains explicit language and sexual content.
In the first book of The Trust Me? Trilogy, Jeni Taylor finds the love of her life, but as the second book begins, she finds herself lost without Aiden O’Connell, who’s been wrongly convicted of embezzlement charges and incarcerated. She must find the strength within to help prove he’s innocent while dealing with other issues. Aiden’s father, Alistair, still taunts her, making life between Jeni and Aiden more difficult, and an unexpected visitor enters their lives, creating havoc and turning it upside down. Jeni’s trust issues return in a major way after an incident leaves her fragile and broken. Aiden and Jeni find themselves going through more trials and tribulations than ever before in this second installment of the Trust Me? Trilogy. In the end, Jeni will be asked the ultimate question: Do you still love me?
Short Excerpt Love Me?
My nerves start to get the better of me, I start to feel nauseous; those darn pesky butterflies attack again. I’m not sure why I’m nervous, whether it’s the shoes making me unstable or whether it’s the memory of our first date, our first touch, or our first kiss that’s making me bashful.
I turn the corner to see him standing there with a bunch of red roses, in the suit that he changed into earlier, this time with a baby pink tie on. Behind him is that gorgeous waterfall cascading down the cliff with the lush greenery surrounding us. As I take a step closer, I hear music playing. “Thank You for Loving Me” by Bon Jovi. It’s our song. I feel my eyes welling up as all the emotion and love I feel for this man is becoming too much to bear.
His smile is beaming from ear to ear when I approach. Finally I reach him. He holds out his hand for me to take. I take it, and he pulls me into a tight embrace.
“This is perfect,” I whisper.
“Perfection for perfection, my love.” He kisses my cheek, and places the bouquet of flowers on the railing.
